StandFast Travels exists as a ministry of Dr. George Grant

Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

Over decades of ministry, Dr. George Grant has seen the Lord bless his teaching, writing, and preaching ministry to untold thousands. Whether as an international founding father of Classical Christian education, an author of tens of books on a wide array of topics, a highly sought after conference speaker, a preacher of the Gospel, a pastor to precious sheep, or as a husband, father, and grandfather, God has given Dr. Grant a passion for covenantal and generational theology that plays the long game of covenant faithfulness while pursuing godly excellence, holy passion, and down-to-earth joy in the midst of God’s people. Festina lente – make haste slowly – is an apt expression for his love of Southern life, covenant theology, passionate pursuit of God, and desire to see the faith once for all delivered to the saints to be delivered to the rising generations.

Ernie Yarbrough is in a many ways a “son of the faith” through the ministry of Dr. George Grant. Upon his high school graduation in 2000, he attended Bannockburn College under the tutelage of Dr. Grant, went to Scotland that year for the first time, and has ever since seen God direct his life into similar passions and pursuits. As a degreed engineer and software developer, Ernie has a passion for bringing the ministry resources of Dr. Grant – and those that God has put like a band of brothers and sisters around him – into the venues of modern technology to ensure their passage and dissemination to the rising generations. Besides having led several tours to Scotland himself, Ernie is currently also following a “Kuyperian vision” through engagement in Alabama state politics as a State Representative, and is currently writing his first book.
